Long-distance swimmer Ben Hooper says being stung by a Portuguese man of war earlier this week was 'worse than any of the stings he'd had so far'.

The 38-year-old athlete, who's from Cheltenham, was left with partial paralysis, slurred speech and dangerously low blood pressure.

He began his world record attempt to swim 2,000 miles from Africa to Brazil three weeks ago.
