Police are asking people to look out for 53-year-old Mark Powell who went missing from Spetisbury on Sunday. He may be riding a red bike.

Mr Powell, who's from Dorchester went missing from an address in West End overnight on Sunday 18 to Monday 19 June.

He did not take his wallet or mobile phone with him. It is believed he may have left on a ladies red Raleigh bicycle.

He is described as

  • six feet tall
  • stocky build
  • tanned complexion
  • clean shaven
  • short dark-coloured hair
  • wearing glasses
  • dark-coloured jeans and a cowboy-style hat

Officers have searched a number of areas for Mr Foster but there has been no sign of him. They are increasingly concerned for his welfare and have issued the following appeal.

I understand that Mark has been upset lately and we are becoming increasingly concerned for him. We have carried out searches of the Spetisbury and Dorchester areas but Mark has not been found.

I would urge anyone who has seen Mark or a man matching the description given to please contact Dorset Police urgently.

Finally, if Mark sees this appeal I would ask him to please make contact with Dorset Police or your family. We are worried about you and just want to know you are safe.”
