Rugby premiership champions Exeter Chiefs launched next season's kit on Cathedral Green today. They'll play in Pink in Europe next season and All Black at Home.

"There's always been a little bit of Pink throughout the jersey's throughout the last couple of years but this is all pink there's no real hiding from it.

So it's a good laugh and I think it will actually look really good so the boys are keen to get out and do well in Europe in it.

England forward and new signing Matt Kvesic - seen here sporting the all black home kit - is happy to go along with the new look

I think there's mixed feelings from the players a lot of the lads you know like the pink. Some not too sure but I think with the blue shorts and everything it looks real nice.

So a bit different if it sells some shirts - very much similar to that Stade Francais have used in years gone by but I think it looks good.

When you're champions of England a lot of thought has to go into introducing new kits.

The designers, Samurai, state that the home shirt has been stripped back to the raw basics with a classic black shirt, while the new pink European shirt has been inspired by a spiritual and tribal theme design, reflecting Exeter’s ability as champions.

Many, many years ago we had the same kit year after year but as our following has grown so has the need to have a new kit.

We change the black shirt every two years and the white shirt every two years and our European shirt - that's what we wear for cup games - we change that every year.

– Tony Rowe, Exeter Chiefs chairman

The shirts will cost the same as last year's. Adults will pay £60, children £45. Season ticket holders will even get a 10% discount.

This season, Chiefs fans will be hoping to be tickled pink watching their side play in Europe
