It was a rather stormy day for a royal visit, but Charles and Camilla still received a warm welcome when they arrived in Newquay today.
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall were handing out awards for the winners of a hanging basket competition.
And although the rain meant they couldn't carry out the ceremony and picnic outdoors, as planned - a group of firefighters came to the rescue.
Newquay Fire Station became the new venue for the royal picnic.
There was also a cake to mark the Duchess of Cornwall's 70th birthday - which she cut with a sword:
