A dentistry student at Plymouth University has been charged with seven terror offences.

Abdurahman Kaabar, who is 22 and originally from Sheffield, is charged with three offences of possessing records of a kind likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, and four offences of disseminating terrorist publications.

Kaaber, a UK citizen of Libyan descent, was arrested on August 10 and remains in custody.

Kaabar intends to plead not guilty to the charges, according to his lawyer Sav Khan.
