Police officers are appealing for witnesses to an incident where a driver failed to stop after a collision with a child.

The 12-year-old boy was crossing Old Laira Road, Plymouth, next to the bus stop on Sunday, 22 October around 6pm, when he was hit.

Devon and Cornwall Police say they are looking to speak to the driver of a Peugeot 106 who they believe may be able to help them.

The boy had numerous bruises and grazes as a result of the collision and we are keen to locate the vehicle. The suspected vehicle would have a cracked windscreen. We have obtained CCTV footage from a shop nearby which shows numerous vehicles were in the area at the time so we are appealing to these people.
