There's a warning to dog owners across the region to be more responsible after a number of guide dogs have been attacked and left traumatised.
In the South West alone there are more than 350 guide dogs.
However, aggressive behaviour from other pets means some are no longer able to help their blind owners.
Carolyn Allum and her guide dog Ali have been working together for almost 5 years. She has given her independence and been a great companion.
However, Carolyn has had to make the heartbreaking decision to retire Ali early because she has become unpredictable towards other dogs, after being attacked herself 6 times.
There are more than 10 attacks on guide dogs each month across the UK and Carolyn wants more dog owners to take responsibility.
