Piles of plastic waste, needles and even a knife have been cleared from underneath one of the region's most iconic landmarks.
Environmental campaigners labelled it "disgusting" and pointed the blame at plastic packaging.
Over the course of one morning dozens of bags of rubbish were cleared from from the Avon Gorge, which sits beneath the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge.
The clear up, which was organised against Surfers Against Sewage, aimed to illustrate how much of our waste ends up in the sea:
