Plymouth Studio School has announced it will close at the end of the summer term, only three years after opening.
This decision comes after an Ofsted report which criticised the school and labelled it 'inadequate'.
The report, which will be published shortly, identifies a number of areas for improvement. It also stated that they recognise some progress, including a recent safeguarding review, has been made but it is not sufficient enough to keep the school open.
Parents have been told the news and invited to a meeting at the School today for a briefing from the headteacher.
The closure will result in all pupils having to find alternative education when the school closes in September.
