Most places in the West will wake up on Friday morning to a layer of frost, as temperatures dip to below freezing.
Outbreaks of rain are forecast for later in the morning, followed by a band of heavier rain around lunchtime.
This is expected to give way to sunshine and showers in the afternoon - but pack an extra layer or two because conditions are expected to stay cold, with highs of only seven degrees Celsius.
The weekend is expected to remain cold, too, with further outbreaks of rain likely.
Looking ahead to Monday, conditions will be brighter - with some light winds - but also a touch colder.
