One of Wiltshire's biggest employers has confirmed it will cut around 300 jobs as the company ceases production of light vehicle tyres.
Cooper Tire Europe announced in October that jobs were at risk as the company might stop making some of its products in Melksham.
Instead, Cooper Tire Europe will get these tyres from within its global production network.
The company says "approximately 300 roles, primarily manufacturing and support positions related to light vehicle tyre production, will become redundant at the site."
Roles will be phased out over a period of approximately 10 months.
The company says around 400 roles will remain to support functions that will continue in Melksham, including motorsports and motorcycle tyre production.
