A car with worn down tyres flipped on to its roof and landed in a field in Cornwall this morning.

As snow began to settle across the region, police were called to the B3254 at Pensilva at 8.40am.

Nobody was injured and the driver was reported for having defective tyres.

The cold weather is expected to stick around for the rest of the week, according to ITV West Country forecaster Charlie Powell.

Thursday will start frosty, before a band of rain and potentially disruptive snow arrives.

Looking ahead to later in the week, some wintry showers are forecast on Friday while Saturday will be drier and brighter.
