The West Country snow: your pictures

From Falmouth to the Forest of Dean, the West Country has been the worst hit so far across the UK by snow and ice over the last 24 hours.

Yellow and amber weather warnings were true to their word as snow fell heavily over Devon and Cornwall on Thursday afternoon before making its way towards Somerset, Bristol, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire overnight into Friday morning.

Our fantastic viewers took straight to their cameras and sent us a selection brilliant pictures. Here they are:

Keepers at Longleat in Wiltshire created a snowman to amuse some of their charges. Redd and Yana are Amur tigers and came to the safari park from Scandinavia so they're well-used to wintry weather. The snowman didn't last long as you can see:
