Police arrest teenager on Devon railway station carrying massive machete
Police seized this massive machete after arresting two teenagers at Newton Abbot train station.
Officers from the British Transport Police discovered the weapon during a stop and search operation on Monday 28th January.
They shared this picture on Twitter:
A spokesman for BTP added: "Officers arrested an 18-year-old man at Newton Abbot station at 10.35pm on 28 January on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, after he surrendered a machete during a stop and search."
"A 17-year-old man from Bristol was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a class A substance.
"Both men were further arrested on suspicion of being concerned on the supply of class A drugs.
"They have been released on bail while enquiries continue."
