A beauty therapist from Devon is offering free bikini waxes to women who book their smear tests, in a bid to make more women follow-up on their invitations.
Holly Wood from Axminster posted a photograph on social media encouraging her followers to be screened for cervical cancer.
The photo was of Jade Goody, the reality star who died from the disease ten years ago.
In the post she said: "Cervical cancer can be detected by ensuring you go for your cervical smear tests...which we know a lot of girls are mortified at going for as they're too embarrassed or scared."
Holly said that any girl with a confirmed smear appointment can have a free bikini wax: "If you're brave enough to face me with a spatula, be brave enough to face a nurse with a swab."
