A carer from a village near Taunton says she fears being tortured and killed if she is deported to Zimbabwe.

Piwie Moyo was a member of the country's opposition party before she fled to the UK in 2007.

She's been living with and caring for Yvonne Gade from Trull for nearly nine years.

The Home Office has denied her a visa extension and she's now hoping to claim asylum.

The Home Office issued the following statement:

All applications are considered on their individual merits, on the basis of the evidence available and in line with UK immigration rules.

Where applications are refused removal is only enforced when we and the courts conclude that it is safe to do so, with a safe route of return.
