Traffic was brought to a standstill on the M5 after a lorry carrying hay caught fire between Clevedon and Weston-super-Mare.
Hour-long delays were reported after the vehicle caught fire between junctions 20 and 21 at around 6pm on Wednesday 13 March.
Emergency services, including Avon and Somerset Police and the fire service, responded to the incident within minutes.
All three lanes were temporarily closed while the fire was extinguished.
