Devon singer Joss Stone has performed in North Korea as part of her mission to play in every country in the world.
The artist, who grew up in a village near Cullompton, was pictured singing in a bar in the country’s capital Pyongyang.
Ms Stone visited the secretive state as part of her Total World Tour, which has already seen her perform in Syria.
On Instagram, the singer said she had learned a Korean song ahead of her trip.
I am learning a song called arrirang which apparently is the national song of Korea as a whole which is nice.
The singer said that Simon Cockerell, who runs Koryo Tours trips into the isolated country, helped her get into North Korea.
He is very knowledgeable about North Korea and its history having been there over a hundred times he is definitely the best person to listen to on the subject as far as we are concerned . In just one meeting over a cup of tea he dispelled many myths.
Ms Stone also met the British ambassador to North Korea, Colin Crooks.
"Amazing to meet @JossStone tonight in #Pyongyang and see her perform," Mr Crooks wrote on Twitter.
