A 9-year-old boy has died after being attacked by a dog at a holiday park in Cornwall.

Police were called to a caravan at Tencreek Holiday Park in Looe just before 5am on Saturday 13th April.

There were reports that a young boy was in an unresponsive state after being attacked by a dog, believed to be a bulldog-type breed.

Clearly our thoughts are very much with the family involved-they have our deepest sympathies.

Tencreek Holiday Park staff are to be commended in the way they have dealt with a very distressing incident.

Tencreek Holiday Park management continues to help police with their enquiries. The Park will remain open offering normal service.

The woman, who has not been named, has now been released under investigation.

The dog was also taken and has been taken to kennels.
