Firefighters from across Devon have been working to put out a large house fire in Bradninch near Cullompton last night (April 16th).

More than eight crews were sent to the Devon village and a quick thinking neighbour allowed fire officers to pump water from their swimming pool.

Emergency services managed to get everyone out safely.

It's thought the fire started in the roof of the property and spread to much of the first floor.

The alarm was raised around 11.30pm and crews have been working for more than seven hours to make the property safe.
