I phoned 999 for the fire brigade. My husband went out there, very brave, trying to help, alerting neighbours, using our watering can to wet anything that might catch fire from all the sparks. Flames and smoke everywhere as we moved our cars out of the way. Just awful. The noise outside was loud enough to wake us up. The fence was a wall of flame. The whole back yard and roof were engulfed in fire. Frightening how fast the fire seemed to spread - flames and smoke everywhere.
