Teenager arrested after double stabbing in St Austell

A 19 year old man has been arrested after a double stabbing on the outskirts of St Austell.

Police were initially called to Holmbush Arch Road at 11.15pm on Sunday (21 April) to reports of a man being threatened but unharmed.

Shortly afterwards two men in their twenties were stabbed and taken to hospital.

One of the men has potentially life threatening injuries, while the other has been discharged.

Officers have seized a knife and a motorbike thought to be linked with the attacks.

A 19 year old from Newquay has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery and remains in custody.

Police are trying to find a second man in connection with the stabbings and ask anyone with information to get in touch on 101 quoting CR/034994/19.
