Police appeal continues one year after discovery of unknown man's remains in Cirencester

Police are still appealing for information to find the man's identity

It has now been a year since the remains of an unknown male were discovered by a forestry worker in a Cotswold wood.

Despite previous appeals and forensic investigations, Gloucestershire Police are no closer to uncovering the man's identity.

The facial reconstruction created earlier this year has provoked a good public response, but officers are still urging anyone who may have any information to come forward.

I’d encourage people to put together the image, circumstances of his discovery and the location where he was found to consider whether they have any information that could help to identify him. The process of working through information provided so far continues and I would like to remind everyone that this will be someone’s son, brother or father and it’s really important to the team to be able to reunite him with his family. I understand that it may be hard to think back to last year but if you know someone who matches this man’s description that you haven’t seen for some time please let us know by calling 101 and quoting Operation Octave.
