He had a 'heart of gold': tributes paid to victim of fatal Bristol stabbing

The 39-year-old was living in Bristol.

Tributes are being paid to a dad from Bristol who died in a stabbing in St Paul's on Friday 21 June.

Darren Edginton, 39, has been described by friends as having a "heart of gold".

He was found in a critical condition at around 5:50pm on Friday 21 June at the junction of Ashley Road and City Road. He died shortly after.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder and will appear at Bristol Crown Court on 25 June.

A spokesperson for Darren's family said "He could always make you smile on your darkest days."

He had an older brother, a younger sister and an 11-year-old daughter.

We want to give him the send-off he deserves as a brother, a son and a dad.
