Two people have are being treated for life-threatening injuries following a car crash on the A379 near Teignmouth.
A third person involved in the collision also sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital.
Police were called to reports of a two vehicle crash at 10:45am on Monday 22 July involving a dark blue Ford Focus and a light blue Toyota Auris.
A man in his 70s, the driver of the Ford, sustained serious injuries in the crash. His passenger, a woman in her 70s, sustained multiple injuries believed to be life-threatening. Both are being treated at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.
The driver of the Toyota, a woman in her 80s, was cut free from her car by the fire service and taken to Derriford hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The A379 was closed for five hours on Monday while an investigation took place.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact. Officers are also keen to speak to the driver of a white van that was travelling towards Teignmouth and may have witness the incident.
