Young renters in Bristol face spending more than a third of their income on just a bedroom.

A study from Hamptons International shows the average cost of a house-share in the city is more than £540 per month.

It makes Bristol the fifth most expensive place in the country for room rentals.

Tenants aged in their 20s typically spend around a third of their pre-tax incomes on private rent.
