Police investigate after disabled man pulled from wheelchair in Bristol pub

Police have issued an appeal after a disabled man was pulled from his wheelchair and verbally abused at a pub in Bristol.

The man, aged in his 40s, was removed from his chair while at the Assembly pub in East Street, Bedminster.

The offender is accused of also making derogatory comments to the victim, who was left with discomfort and pain to his back.

Police said the alleged incident happened in the smoking area of the pub between 7.30pm and 8pm on Sunday, July 21.

Officers from Avon and Somerset Police would like to identify and speak to the man pictured as part of their investigation.

We appreciate the image isn’t the best quality but are still hopeful someone might recognise the man in it.
