We're going to hang onto plenty of warm sunshine and light winds this afternoon but another chilly night is on the cards.
High pressure is right across the UK at the moment bringing us settled weather, and as it drifts to the east it'll allow warm southerly winds across the West Country. There could be a few showers following for the weekend though, thanks to a weather system moving in from the Atlantic.
This evening will be warm and sunny though, and dry, clear weather will last overnight. Temperatures will drop to mid-single figures allowing some mist to form. The countryside may be a little colder still.
A chilly start on Thursday but the sunshine will quickly lift any mist that has formed, leaving another warm autumn day. Temperatures will rise back to around 20 degrees, although a bit of a breeze around Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly may make it feel fresher.
Friday will be another fine and warm day with more warm sunshine, followed by a few showers as we head through the weekend. However, temperatures on Saturday could reach the mid twenties for some!
