Bristol Rovers legend Stuart Taylor, who made a record 546 league appearances for the club, has died.
The defender signed for the club in 1965 and stayed with them during his entire playing career.
At 6ft 5 ins tall he was a dominant force in the Rovers defence for 15 years.
In 2016 Stuart's family revealed he was being treated for a rare form of dementia. Supporters and former players at the club helped raise money to support the former defender and his family.
Bristol Rovers tweeted the club was "saddened" to learn of Taylor's death and extended condolences to his family and friends.
The club is expected to pay respects to Taylor at one of their upcoming home games.
