A woman has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after her car plunged 50ft off a Devon cliff edge.
Emergency services including police, ambulance, Coastguard and the fire service were called to Ilsham Marine Drive in Torquay on Monday (October 14) evening after the car came off the road.
It plunged more than 50ft (15m) down the side of a cliff and the woman had to be pulled from the wreckage.
She was checked over by paramedics and taken to hospital as a precaution, where she was later arrested.
Pictures show just how close the vehicle - a silver Range Rover - came to disaster, with one witness suggesting it was a copse of trees that stopped the 4x4 from plunging any further down the cliff.
Pictures taken today (October 15) show that the wreckage of the car remains at the scene.
Traffic cones and barriers have been put in place on the side of the road, which was closed in both directions for several hours as a result.
