Child ‘struck in face’ in daytime assault outside Bristol supermarket

Police in Bristol have issued an urgent appeal after a child was physically assaulted outside a Co-op store in the city.

Officers have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the attack, which happened outside the supermarket in Wells Road, Totterdown.

According to Avon and Somerset Police, the child - a young boy - was “struck in the face” by a man.

The incident happened around 11.45am on Tuesday, September 24.

He is also seen wearing distinctive clothing - including a dark t-shirt with the words ‘The Doctor’ and the number ‘46’ in fluorescent type on the front.

We’re releasing two CCTV images of a man we’d like to speak to after a child was assaulted in Bristol.

The incident happened in front of the Co-Op on Wells Road, Totterdown at about 11.45am on 24 September. A man struck a young boy in the face causing him to fall back.
