An 11 year-old girl has been left with potentially life-changing injuries following a collision with a car in Redruth.
The incident happened yesterday lunchtime (21 October) on the Falmouth Road.
The local girl was was taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske where she is receiving specialist treatment and care.
Local police officers and specialists from the Roads Policing Team closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage to aid their investigations.
