A man has died following a crash between a motorcycle and a car carrying four children on the A369 just outside of Bristol.
The collision happened near junction 19 of the M5 this morning [October 27].
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was given treatment at the scene, but later died.
Another man, the driver of the car, was taken to hospital for minor injuries.
Four children were also travelling in the car but were unharmed.
Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for anyone who was in the area during the time of the crash with any information to get in touch, and are particularly interested in any dashcam footage that was captured.
The A369 Portbury Hundred has been closed in both directions since the time of the accident, and is likely to remain closed into this evening to allow investigators to examine the scene.
Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes to avoid using the A369 between J19 of the M5 and the Wyndham Way roundabout.
