This is thanks to a large area of low pressure which will slowly work its way eastwards this week bringing spells of wet and breezy weather to most places by Thursday.
Outbreaks of rain will spread across parts of Cornwall and Devon this evening and overnight but it should stay dry elsewhere. There will be a fair amount of cloud and winds will strengthen a bit by dawn too, so temperatures nowhere near as low - down to 4 or 5 degrees in the coldest spots of Wiltshire.
Wednesday will be similar to today for most of us, with plenty of dry weather and some sunshine. Outbreaks of rain will become confined to west Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly again. It'll be windy everywhere though, and temperatures will be a degree lower than today so there will be a chill in the air.
For the rest of the week fronts will work in from the west bringing further spells of rain and brisk winds. Saturday could be quite wet, but temperatures will be much closer to average by the. It'll feel more like autumn than winter!
