Teenager appears in court charged with murder after 17-year-old boy stabbed to death in Bristol

A 14-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with murdering a 17-year-old who was stabbed to death in Bristol.

Tyrone Hayman was found with a stab wound to his chest on Mansfield Street in Bedminster just before 1.30pm on Saturday 14 December.

The 17-year-old was taken to hospital but died a short time later.

A post-mortem examination confirmed the teenager died from a single stab wound to the chest.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared before Bristol Youth Court on Wednesday (18 December).

The teenager spoke to confirm his name, date of birth, address and nationality.

The case has been sent to Bristol Crown Court.

Specialist crime scene investigators were seen examining the scene as well as an address on Parson Street where the assault took place.

The force is asking people in the local area to contact their local neighbourhood policing team or visit their police station if they have any concerns.
