Police issue CCTV of meat cleaver raid on Bristol store

Police investigating an armed raid on a convenience store in Bristol have released shocking footage of a masked man threatening staff with a meat cleaver.

The raid happened at the Co-operative store in Two Mile Hill Road in St George just after 6am on Monday 2 December 2019.

Two masked men entered the shop and one of them threatened two female members of staff with a meat cleaver. They told the workers to open and empty the tills and then made off with the cash.

Police say the staff were left shaken and distressed but otherwise unharmed.

This was a terrifying incident for the staff working in the store. Thankfully, nobody was injured but understandably staff were left shaken by what happened.
