Police have launched an appeal after a 76-year-old man from Devon was reported missing.

John Taverner, from Cadbury in Devon, was last seen leaving the area of Thorverton in a white Hyundai i10 at around 4.30pm on Monday (February 3).

The 76-year-old is described as a white male, of large build, with mousey grey collar length hair.

Heading in the direction of Shobrooke, John was wearing a dark blue overcoat and black top, with brown trousers and shoes.

In their appeal, Devon and Cornwall Police said he may appear to be limping due to having a heavily bandaged leg.
