The Box will 'give Plymouth its mojo back' says council leader

Plymouth's new £40million museum and art gallery will 'give Plymouth its mojo back', according to the council leader.

The Box, set to open in May, will feature more than two million artefacts, some of which have been hidden from view for centuries.

This is a great national facility we've built here. We in Plymouth are used to going to 'That London' to see really good stuff. Londonders are going to come here to see this.

It's been really wonderful developing the project itself but I can wait for that first visitor to walk through the door. We want to see what people are going to react to and what they're going to enjoy most and everything really is for the people of Plymouth and for visitors to the city so I just can't wait to get started.
