A homeless couple who have lived in a field near Cheltenham for the past year say the recent storms almost drove them to breaking point.

Angela and Mick's tent was flattened by high winds and a replacement from a local charity was also damaged beyond repair.

The recent storms made life very difficult for them.

Now on their third tent they are hoping they will soon have a proper roof over their heads.

Thanks to Tewkesbury council, they have been amazing.I put in a request for a one-bed bungalow, and I am number three on the list for that. [If we do get somewhere] no one will see me for weeks. I will be indulging in the heat and the warmth of a proper roof and just getting back to normal, looking for work, and starting a new life again, which is exciting.
