Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital has confirmed it's treating three people for coronavirus, and another person with it has been sent home to self-isolate.

In a statement, Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust said:

The RD&E has admitted four patients who have tested positive for Covid-19. Three of these patients are being cared for in isolation and one has returned home to self-isolate, according to national guidelines.

It comes as the number of cases of Covid-19 continue to rise across the UK, including the South West.

On Saturday 14 March both Plymouth's Derriford Hospital and the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital announced they were restricting visiting times in a bid to prevent the spread of the virus.
