A glider pilot is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after his aircraft crashed at a Gloucestershire airfield according to police.
Officers say a member of the public reported seeing a glider come down at the Aston Down airfield, near Stroud, on Monday afternoon.
When police arrived they found a man had been badly hurt.
He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol by air ambulance where he is described as having life threatening injuries.
Air accident investigators were informed and will now be taking over the situation.
