Home schooling mother from Cornwall offers top tips for other parents

A Cornish mother-of-four has reached out to other parents who might be home schooling for the first time during the coronavirus pandemic.

Rebecca Caroline Graham from Newquay has been home schooling for the last 5 years. Her children are now 9, 12, 15 and 18.

She's made a short video offering tips and reassurance to help inspire others.

Watch Rebecca's home schooling advice video:

Rebecca says parents shouldn't put pressure on themselves ''to make all learning sat at a table, or between the hours of 9am and 3pm".

It's also a perfect time to learn to do things that we wouldn't normally do, like learning [to play] an instrument we may have at home, or learning a new language, learning about the star constellations at night, or about nature on daily walks. There are literally apps and websites for absolutely everything.
