A driver had a lucky escape after crashing through a garden shed at an allotments in Exeter.

The silver Nissan Micra left the road at Cowick Lane allotments before ploughing into the shed, leaving it in a crumpled mess.

The incident was reported to police at 12.30pm on Thursday, April 23.

The Government previously confirmed that people are allowed to visit allotments during lockdown as long as they follow social distancing guidelines.

It is seen as a form of exercise and a way of sourcing food.
