Woman stabbed in her Torquay home by masked men demanding drugs and money

Police in Devon have launched an appeal after a woman was stabbed by masked men who entered her home and demanded drugs and money.

The incident took place at Victoria Road in Torquay between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 22 April.

Around seven police cars and five ambulances were reported to have attended the scene.

Police have issued an appeal revealing that the woman, who is in her 30s, was stabbed and left seriously injured following the attack.

A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Three unknown men, whose faces were covered, are said to have entered the property and demanded drugs and money before leaving the scene in what is believed to be a burgundy Ford Mondeo or silver Volvo".

A woman, aged in her 30s, suffered a stab wound to her torso and required hospital treatment for an injury which was not life-threatening or life-changing.
