A 32-year-old man has admitted raping a teenage girl in Dorchester last December.
Adrian Cordery, who's from the Dorset town, appeared at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday 29 May, and is due to be sentenced on 6 July.
The attack happened in a field at St Osmund's School on the evening of 5 December 2019.
The 15-year-old victim was walking along the field when she was grabbed from behind and threatened with a knife. The man then sexually assaulted her.
Cordery was arrested after detectives found him on CCTV in the city centre, which showed him appearing to follow the victim. A DNA sample also proved to be a match.
Officers describe it as a "terrifying sexual assault on a young teenage girl" and have praised her for her courage in coming forward.
I would like to praise the victim for her bravery throughout the investigation to help bring Cordery before the courts.
