A man has been arrested after police found around £300,000 worth of cannabis at a house in Bristol.

The discovery was made by officers at around 3pm on Thursday 28 May, at a house on Stapleton Road.

It followed information from a member of the public, which led to them finding cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £300,000.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a class B drug - he has been released under investigation.

A significant number of plants were seized during yesterday’s search. We’re grateful for the information provided to us by members of the public that enabled us to take the action we did.

The discovery was made by officers from the force working on Operation Remedy - a crackdown on burglaries, knife crime and drugs.
