The body of a missing teenager who vanished three weeks ago has been discovered by emergency services.
17-year-old Oscar Montgomery went missing off Portland in Dorset on May 27 and sparked a major rescue operation involving coastguard helicopters, the navy and police, RNLI lifeboats and two navy warships.
He was last seen snorkeling in the area of Church Ope Cove at 5pm when the alarm was raised.
Police said that Oscar, from the Birmingham area, had been with another person when he went into the water, and was wearing a wetsuit and flippers.
On Wednesday, 17 June, Dorset Police received a report that a body had been seen in the water.
It has been recovered and is believed to be that of Oscar. A formal identification is yet to be made but his family has been informed.
