A 20-year-old man from Exeter has suffered serious head injuries following a suspected racially aggravated assault.
It happened near Exmouth Train Station on Wednesday 24 June.
The 20-years-old victim was found on the carriage of a train heading to Exeter. He'd been attacked with a glass bottle.
Police are investigating reports of a racially aggravated assault after officers were called at 11.20pm to Exmouth railway station following reports that a man had been located on a carriage having sustained serious injuries to his head.
A heavy emergency services presence was seen at the station at around 11.30pm on the night of the incident.
Ambulances, police vehicles, an Incident Response Van and British Transport Police were all in attendance.
The man's injuries are serious but not thought to be life-threatening.
