An RNLI volunteer in Cornwall enlisted the help of his crew to propose to his girlfriend as a surprise.

Aaron Rix, a crewmember for the RNLI in Looe, arranged for his fellow volunteers to deliver his marriage proposal using a lifeboat.

Aaron, who also celebrated his 30th birthday on November 24, had his colleagues hold up a sign saying "Will You Marry Me? Katie Fisher".

Katie, who didn't know about the proposal, said yes.

Looe RNLI said: "Congratulations to you both from all at Looe RNLI."
