Teenage girl sexually harassed by middle-aged man at Gloucester bus stop - police appeal

A man harassed a teenage girl and made “sexual comments and gestures” towards her while she sat at a bus stop in Gloucester.
The middle-aged man is believed to have been three times the age of his teenage victim, who was just 15 years old.
Police said he approached the teen while she waited for a bus stop in Eastgate Street, near Holloway House, in the city centre.
The incident happened around 11am on November 8, in front of another man who was also waiting at the stop.
The second man, dressed in construction worker clothes, intervened and told the perpetrator to leave the girl alone.
Gloucestershire Police has now issued an appeal to track down the witness and anyone else who saw what happened.
“A 15-year-old girl was approached by a man while sat at the bus stop at the Holloway House end of Eastgate Street,” the force said.
“The man got close to the girl and made sexual comments and gestures towards her.
“Another man, who was also waiting at the bus stop, intervened and told the other man to leave the girl alone.
“The man who made the comments and gestures later walked off in the direction of Barton Street.
“He is described as being aged between 40 and 50 years old, around 5ft 7ins tall, white, had dark stubble, was of a slim build and spoke with a strong, non-local accent.
“He also wore a baseball cap and black trousers.”
The witness was described as being aged between 40 and 50, and was wearing construction worker clothes.
